WOW: Worshiping Other Ways!

Last night we met Jason and Mary at Church for the 3rd Annual Worshiping Other Ways Service. White's Chapel UMC hosted members of the Faithful Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas for Worship and Dinner. The 2 Choirs joined together for some AMAZING music and there was even a Praise Dancer from FMBC that performed! The Rev. N.C. Sargent preached (and man did he preach!!!) Overall the Service was incredible and very cool to get to worship in such a different way!

1 Week Anniversary

Gregg and I celebrated our "1 Week Anniversary" last night! A friend of Gregg's from college, Jessica, was in town with her boyfriend for the Ft Worth Stockshow and so we met up with them for dinner at Texas Road House and then went to Billy Bob's to see Cross Canadian Ragweed in concert. Billy Bob's was CRAZY! The concert was good but there were so many people in there that people were standing on the dance floor making it hard (and dangerous) to try and dance. Gregg rented us a hotel room in Ft Worth so we wouldn't have to make the 2 hour drive back to Wylie last night (and we would be closer to Church this morning). I told Gregg that he is totally spoiling me and that I can't wait to see what we do next weekend for our 2 Week Anniversary!!! Ha! Ha! :)

Mini Surprise Honeymoon to Fredericksburg

We have decided to wait until March to go on our Honeymoon so that we could go to Big Sky, Montana for a week and go snow skiing and snowmobiling. So, my Mom and Sister-in-law planned a mini surprise Honeymoon for us. They also set up a scavenger hunt for us to go on Sunday morning that would tell us where we would be going! When we left our hotel room Sunday morning there was a picnic cooler at our door with our 1st clue in it to go to an address in Wolfforth. We ended up at the Fire Station in Wolfforth where we found the eating utensils to go in our cooler and another clue sending us to 19th and University and somewhere Mmmm good! We made our way to Macalister's Deli where we found the plates for our cooler and a gift card for our lunch plus another clue. We ordered our lunch to go and followed to clue to a park off the loop where we found a bottle of wine, 2 wine glasses and another clue. We ate our lunch in the park (something neither of us has ever done before!) and then made our way to Barnes and Noble, the last stop on the Scavenger Hunt, where we found directions to Fredericksburg and the information on the place that we were staying. The Scavenger Hunt was sooo much fun for both of us!!!
We didn't get into Fredericksburg until about 11pm Sunday night and went to our B&B "The Inn on the Creek".
We stayed in "The Admiral Suite", a beautiful room that was in the front corner of the house.
Monday morning we got up and went to breakfast in the dining room where we were served an AMAZING home cooked breakfast. After breakfast (and a little nap) we walked to Main street and visited all the little shops along the street. We stopped for lunch at The Fredericksburg Brewing Co. and had great sandwiches, fries, and fried jalapenos!
After lunch we headed back to the B&B because we had a scheduled 1 hour Couples Massage! This was my first massage in quite some time and Gregg's first massage EVER! The massage was fantastic and very relaxing. Gregg actually fell asleep during the last half of his and was snoring by the end!
After the massage we went to our room and got ready for dinner and our carriage ride! (The massage and carriage ride were planned for us by Brandi.) The carriage ride was so romantic and a lot of fun. We rode all thru the town of Fredericksburg looking at the old buildings.

We were dropped off at the B&B after riding thru town for an hour and then we walked to Pasta Bella's for dinner! The food was amazing and the wine was fantastic!!! We had a perfect little dinner!
Tuesday morning we got up and went for Breakfast again (again yummy!) and then packed our bags to head back . We left town after doing a little more shopping and stopping for lunch at "Rather Sweet Bakery". We made it back to Wylie Tuesday night before the weather hit and then I got an extra day off work Wednesday because of the ice!
Our trip to Fredericksburg was AMAZING and I cannot wait to go back! It was the perfect get a way for Gregg and I to be able to spend so time together and relax and was the best way for us to start our life together as husband and wife!!! Thanks Brandi for all your work planning this trip for us! We do love you and appreciate all your hard work putting this together!

Our Wedding!!!

Gregg and I got married on January 24, 2009 in Lubbock, Texas. Our Wedding was at First Baptist Church in Wolfforth, Texas (the same Church that my parents were married in 32 years ago) and the reception was at 4 Bar K Ranch. The Wedding was even more perfect and beautiful than I could have imagined. Gregg and I feel truly blessed to have been able to share this incredible day with so many friends and family members. We thank God for putting us in each others lifes and letting our paths cross at just the right time. Thanks also to everyone who has helped shape us into the people that we are and who helped make this day possible for us! We love yall!

Here are a few pictures from the day that I have been given from different people. I hope to have the professional pictures soon and I will blog again with those!

Rehearsal Dinner

Here are pictures from our Wedding Rehearsal and the Rehearsal Dinner. Gregg's parents hosted us the best Rehearsal Dinner at the Wolfforth Community Center. It was a Fiesta theme and was decorated fantastically!!! We had yummy fajitas and amazing desserts!!! Overall, we had a wonderful evening practicing for our BIG Day and celebrating with our family and friends!

Bridal Luncheon

My Bridal Luncheon was the Friday morning before the Wedding. We had the luncheon at La Diosa Cellars down in the Depot District. The place was so cute and so much fun! I had a great morning sharing and celebrating with all the important girls in my life! Thank yall all so much for everything that yall have done for me throughout my entire life and especially over these last 8 months as I have prepared to marry Gregg. I love you all!

After the Bridal Shower Jennifer, Keli, Morgan, and I all went to a salon in Lubbock for manicures and pedicures. We had a great time and I got one of the best pedicures I have ever had! Here are a few pictures from our time at the salon.

Bridal Pictures

I took my Bridal pictures last Monday while in Lubbock. The weather was beautiful and the shoot was a lot of fun! My little brother, Seth, brought the old Wolfforth Fire truck out for us to use as a prop. The Wolfforth Ambulance and the 2 medics riding that day even came along to watch! Here are a few of my favorite from the day.
